Mr Atom 1954-1956 and one of the most sought after antique toys from Advance Doll and Toy. Only 2 versions were ever made and the way to distinguish them are the eyes. The first had convex eyes (like a goldfish) and the second had flat eyes. Both as thin as vacuum pack plastic. The only part that is the same as any of the Advance dolls are the Leg braces and Feet that come from the Wanda ski dolls, utilizing their early 2nd gen 2 rivet shoes configuration. Mr Atom uses a 4.5 volt DC motor ontop of the very light and thin internal frame and powered by 3 "C" batteries. The only probem Mr Atom faces is the very thin plastic that was made for his feet. it has a tendency to break like a potato chip where it was riveted to the foot plate. Mr Atom does have a neat color combo of off silver that mixed like a marble when made and red. With all the other Robots that came out in the 1950's I still believe that Advance Dolls Mr. Atom still holds it's own in it's own ways. A fully functional Mr. Atom with original box can fetch higher numbers.
