Winnie the Walking and Talking Doll introduced in 1953. She walked and talked as well even though the talking mechanism was a bit finicky. It often was out of time and the records were normally scratched beyond repair so understanding her was out of the question. She was the largest of all the Advance Dolls standing 24" and weighing a hefty 4 pounds. She came out in 1953 in a plain brown box with blue letters saying "Winnie the Walking and Talking Doll". In 1954 the box went to all Green and by 1956 went to all white. The Winnie dolls have the rollers on her feet, which Betsy Walker started in 1950 by Walkalon followed by white plastic shoes which were riveted to the foot plates. The dresses available were sparse (about 6) but beautifully decorated and well made. She had on a one piece underwear sort of jump suit that had two snaps to hold it on. Followed by shorts that usually matched the dress she had on. She was the predocessor to the Wanda in 1954. Thankfully they waived the idea for the speaking side of Winnie.
